The School

The Leonardo English School is a language school operating within the Istituto Leonardo da Vinci. This means that it offers English courses not only to the pupils of the Istituto but also ex-pupils , parents, relatives and general population of Catania.

Thanks to the agreement between de La Salle schools in Italy and Cambridge ESOL exams the Leonardo English School is a recognized Cambridge Exam Centre. The exams we study for are held here in our school.

Apart from the Cambridge Exams that begin with YLE at the Elementary School and continue to through KET, PET, FCE and CAE, the school offers ‘Fun With English’ to the youngest learners at Scuola Materna and adult courses and individual lessons for both pupils and adults.

The school is to be found opposite the scuola maternal near the main entrance but lessons are held all over the Istituto as the individual age groups tend to stay in their respective schools. The central school is where the Adult courses, FCE and CAE courses are held.

The school has enjoyed rapid growth since the inauguration in 2007 and our wish is for our students to share in our success through their excellent exam results and the fame LES now has for preparing students who can speak English.
